One day, you’ll have the exact thought as I did when you meet a truly rich person. Unlike your expectation, a real rich person does quite the opposite of how you think they would.
If ever you come across a person who flaunts and flashes off, trying to make a point that they are rich and successful, chances are they’re only a show-off. Because the absolute rich people that I have met are rarely like that.
The point I am trying to convey through this article is that we ought to be thoughtful with the kind of people we wished to surround ourselves. Because those who are deceptive often has hidden motives.
Learning on how to tell apart real rich from a fake rich doesn’t require a genius. In fact, these behaviour contrary patterns are starting pointers you could be on a lookout for.
8. Flaunting ludicrous wardrobes and items
The rich I come to know about are often people who dress in the most subtle apparel. They don’t require any brand validation to secure their status and would prefer comfortable, understated and yet sophisticated clothing.
7. Fake it until you make it attitude
Real rich people don’t go all out trying to pretend like the world’s financial matters are entirely only what they think about. Unlike the pretend rich, they brag about how much they have or what they are capable of doing to make more money. They use big words and talk about stocks and seem to not portray a more humbling demeanor. In short, they ought to seem like they are trying very hard to be like one whereby the real rich doesn’t.
6. In need of validation
Real rich people will have expensive belongings or they’ll probably live a fun and fabulous life but they don’t bring it up to the world. In this internet and social media era we are living, real rich people don’t make it a point to post every bit of their activities up. They don’t need comments or the number of likes to validate their lifestyle choices.
5. Taking it too personally
For the real rich, it is not necessary for others to know of their status and absolutely won’t feel insulted with what you have to say about them. In fact, they could care less of how others perceive them because they are too busy any way to mind matters that serves a higher purpose.
4. Not being financially literate
The real rich believes that the most crucial investment of all begins in educating oneself; especially being financially literate. They understand the value and direct proportion on how to derive multiple streams of revenue. They understand that every individual are to be compensated accordingly based on results and efforts put in. Unlike the poor who believe that we should be paid the same amount. Real rich understand the derivation of money making and consolidate smart and diverse opportunities given to grow their income.
3. Giving in easily; especially when it comes to money matters
The wealthy often don’t like to be taken advantage of or granted; especially when their money matters. Not because they couldn’t afford, quite contrary, but because they understand the value of money. Fake rich on the other hand don’t mind giving in rigorously because they believe showing off their wealth is necessary for others to perceive them as being rich.
2. Often on a lookout for quick and easy get rich schemes
Real rich understood the importance of working hard and wouldn’t mind taking the hard and long road. Unlike fake rich, they have a long term mindset and are constantly thinking ahead. They believe that actions today will benefit them in the future. They don’t buy into quick and get rich schemes and would prefer to continuously stay focus on their goals.
1. Name dropping and envying others
The need to impress anyone was never necessary, therefore the real rich often avoid name-dropping and talking behind people’s back. Real rich people don’t envy others and instead support people with big dreams and goals. I remembered learning from a group chat once. One of the members mentioned how he was planning to retire in his late 30’s. Many of other older members laughed and were saying how impossible it sounded. Guess who had the last laugh? While the older members are still slaving away on with 9 to 5 job, living paycheck by paycheck, the optimist young retiree is now living a life of his dreams.
It is important for us to associate with people who will benefit us in our growth to success.
Are they serving any purpose to bring you to greater heights?
